Ceftriaxone sodium for injection is indicated for the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible organisms: lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, biliary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, septicemia, meningitis and surgical prophylaxis. A single dose is indicated for the treament of uncomplicated gonorrhea.
